Woomera Test Facility
The Woomera Test Facility (WTF) corresponds to the Woomera Prohibited Area and encloses a region of 127,000 square kilometres in north-west South Australia. It is comparable to the size of England, making it the largest land range in the world. Woomera Village is situated in the south-east corner of the WTF at a latitude and longitude of approximately 31º South and 136.5º East respectively.

Woomera Village
Woomera Village lies 450 km by air and 500 km by road from Adelaide. The Stuart Highway linking Adelaide and Darwin and the Trans Australia Railway linking Adelaide to Perth pass through Pimba, 7 km to the south of Woomera. The mining community of Roxby Downs is situated 81 km to the north. Olympic Dam near Roxby Downs has a domestic airport with regular passenger flights from Adelaide.
