The Woomera Heritage and Information Centre is an accredited Visitor Information Centre providing information on the local region. The Heritage Centre also features a 10 pin bowling alley, the Outback Diner and the Heritage Museum. The Heritage Museum contains historical displays relating to the Woomera Range and to the closed Joint Defence Facility at Nurrungar. The display contains an extensive range of rocket parts along with photographs and descriptions of Range activities, including the most recent NEXST-1 and HyShot trials. A video is also shown in the museum recounting significant events in Woomera's history.
Tours of the Rocket Range can also be arranged in advance at the Woomera Heritage Centre, Visitor Information Centre.
The Heritage Museum sells a large range of souvenirs, including:
Polo shirts, T-Shirts, hats and caps, embroidered badges, coasters, mugs, magnets, spoons, stubby holders, tankards, tea towels, thermal mugs, thimbles, wine glasses, maps, postcards, pens, keyrings, posters, model gliders, and view folders which include a folder containing photos of Woomera.
